Seiko Men Automatic Green Dial with Green Nylon Strap Watch (SNK805K2)

This review is from: Men' s Seiko 5 Automatic Green Dial Green Fabric (Watch) Picked up this watch from Bodying about a month or so ago and so far it' s been great. The price point is hard to believe considering you' re getting a Seiko 5 and it looks good to boot! I' ve gotten a handful of compliments on the watch and it' s rugged "look", most people can' t believe it' s a Seiko when I tell them. The self winding is nice and as others mentioned above it tends to get off by a minute or so a month but so far mine is still dead on when compared to the clock I used when setting the initial time. This was my first watch with an integrated day/date window and I had some issues getting it set correctly initially (multiple languages, it wasn' t midnight so the day would shift early, etc.) but that was mostly due to my ignorance. I haven' t tested it' s water resistance claims and usually ditch the watch before I shower, swim, etc. (not to mention nylon bands can smell funky over time if wet and dried frequently) but it' s taken a couple good lickings from door knobs, walls, etc. and hasn' t skipped a beat. I have also worn it to the range with my pistol (a lot of vibration and jerking) and everything still runs smooth. For me personally I' m debating picking up a couple more of these and storing them while I can still get my hands on them. I love the face of this watch with it' s minutes being the largest and easily readable measure of time followed by the smaller hours, telling time at a glance is only easier on a digital IMHO. I also love the smooth movement of the second hand on this thing, but it' s taken some getting used to. I am used to looking to down at a watch and seeing the second hand jerk around the face, a lot of times I' ll have to do a double take because I think the second hand has stopped moving because of how smooth the movement actually is (1/4 second movements).
